The Story of Nela

The journey is the destination.

I was born in Liberec - a smaller city in the Czech Republic. My childhood, teenage years, and early twenties were dominated by my passion for dancing. That was all I knew and cared about back then. Looking back, I feel so lucky and grateful to be part of that community (consisting mostly of women), who taught me discipline, the importance of trust & respect, accountability, empathy, and reflection. And that´s where my journey of self-discovery started.

I decided to study international and also specifically European business in England, but not out of interest but out of despair. I didn´t know who I wanted to become and I was so jealous of anyone who knew exactly what they wanted to be. After graduation, I landed jobs in the education & travel industry. My last job turned out to be much more than just event management. I have been extremely lucky and had the opportunity to meet with global leaders, inspiring entrepreneurs, and change-makers, who shaped my understanding of the world and ultimately myself. It has been 10 years in the industry and 6 years in a leadership role and I still feel like a rookie. :) Leading people is such a challenging yet humbling experience. You learn so much about yourself and your own personal brand, authenticity, and resilience.

Now, I am entering another phase of my life and I am so excited. I want to help others not to be afraid of the journey - once you embrace it it´s addictively liberating. :)
